Who is LG?

Hey there! I’m LG, the writer and heart behind Words by LG. I’m so glad you’ve taken a moment to stop by and learn a little more about me! I’ve known the Lord all my life, but it wasn’t until I was 12 years old that I made the most important decision I’ve ever made—fully surrendering my life to Him. That moment changed everything and set me on a path of grace, redemption, and a deep relationship with the One who created me. Giving my life to the Lord is still the best choice I’ve ever made, and it continues to shape everything I do.

Growing up, I was a shy, reserved girl who often felt like my voice didn’t matter or that I’d never measure up to others. For a long time, I struggled with fear and insecurity, not sharing what was truly on my heart. But through God’s love and patience, He’s shown me that I have a voice worth sharing. Now, it’s the greatest joy and privilege to share the words He places on my heart, trusting that He has a purpose in every story, prayer, verse, or thought I share. It’s truly redemption in action, and I’m forever grateful!

At 20 years old, I’m embracing this beautiful season of growth, and I’m learning to walk more boldly in what God has called me to do. By day, I work as a candle maker for a wonderful local candle company in Nashville, TN.  Making candles might seem simple, but it’s become an art that’s taught me so much about the Lord’s light. Each candle I make is a reminder of how we, too, are called to shine His light in a dark world. Just like the flame in a candle, we are meant to bring warmth, hope, and peace wherever we go.

Alongside my work, I’m about to graduate college (yay! ) and continue pursuing my dreams and goals in my career and personal life. But no matter what I do, the Lord will ALWAYS be my firm foundation. He’s the reason for everything I am and everything I hope to become. All my ambitions, dreams, and passions are grounded in Him. Without Him, nothing would be possible.

Two verses that I hold close to my heart, and that remind me of God’s amazing love and grace, are Micah 7:18-19 and all of 2 Samuel 22 (David's song of praise). These verses are like lifelines for me—they remind me of God’s forgiveness, His unfailing love, and His constant presence in my life.

Micah 7:18-19 says:
"Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea."

This is a beautiful reminder of God’s boundless mercy and forgiveness. In these verses, Micah marvels at how unique God is, delighting in showing mercy rather than staying angry. He completely forgives and removes our sins, casting them "into the depths of the sea" so they can never be found again. These verses remind me that no matter how many times I fall short, God’s grace is always available, and He never holds my past against me. It's a comfort knowing that His forgiveness is total and complete.

And 2 Samuel 22 is my go-to for comfort and strength. The whole chapter is a beautiful song of praise to God for being our rock, our deliverer, and our refuge in times of trouble. I love the verses that say:
"The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation." (verse 3)

This is David’s song of praise to God for His deliverance and faithfulness. David describes God as his rock, fortress, and deliverer—steadfast and reliable in times of distress. God hears our cries, acts on our behalf, and protects us from our enemies. This chapter reassures me that no matter what challenges or trials I face, God is always by my side, empowering me to overcome them. His presence is my strength and my refuge.

I’m so thankful you’re here! Whether you’re just getting to know me or you’ve been following along, I hope that Words by LG encourages and inspires you in your walk with God. No matter where you’re at in your faith journey, remember that you are loved, valued, and never alone. God is with you, and His light shines bright through you!
